Five years ago today, I published my second novel. It was a different genre from what I had written before. That really snowy day, as I shoveled snow, it felt like nothing had changed. The world was still turning. The pandemic was swirling around the country. Everyone was reeling from the events from the month before.
But it meant a lot more to me than everybody thinks. Because that book, Casting Shadows, brought me a new vision, of seeing things through another's eyes and understanding the difference between privilege and alliance. It also brought me a dream about continuing the series, through different characters, who see the resolution of the civil war to as a prelude to another kind of conflict.
All of it leading to In Fiery Autumn Dress.
Now, we are at another partial preview of book six of this series...
The final reveal of the full cover will be on April 1 (not March 30).
