#BehindTheScenes 62 - More of Klenard?

It's something that people have asked me. The reviews in the first two books even said it. Will there be more books about Klenard? Have you thought of writing a story about so-and-so character? Why can't this character's story be told?

And this #BehindTheScenes is here to tell you...I do have more plans for the world of Enos.

But I have other projects I want to work on. I don't want to spoil such a good thing with too much! I can tell you what I have planned so far, though. Please understand, these are projects still in progress and more information will be available later.

Each book in the Wrapped in the Rays of the Sun series will have a companion short story book. I have at least ten ideas for each one so far, and I might make it longer (with more stories) in spirit of the length of the series itself. The characters are those you never thought would have a voice - Catherine Buckingham-Hungerford, the Dowager Duchess of Shaeriden (Matilda Swanson-Bryan, Miranda's mother), Mary Sorrenti/Tasha Sawyer, Veronica, Charlemagne of Lopet and many, many more. I really built a world and generations of people!

Casting Shadows and The Circle is Broken introduced the Klenard nobility. By the time Through the Meadow was written, I realized how political parties shaped the kingdom of Klenard and the relationships the character of Miranda held with all of them. Each had their own personality and lives. While Miranda had children and arranged their lives, what did they do?

Just this alone should answer everyone's questions. But there's more, much more I want to tell you. I know I announced it before, but it deserves another shout-out.

I am planning a prelude Klenard series.

Well, a couple of them actually.

Like, before Nora and Jayne. Their father and uncle sort of prelude series. One would be about Gerald II of Klenard and the other about King Samuel of Tommel. It would untangle their complicated relationship and go over events only briefly mentioned in the current book series.

What it also goes through is their complicated family dynamo. The brothers were not the only members in the royal family. They had sisters too, and they married and had children. While their mother died shortly after Samuel was born, their father raised them, and he was ruthless. Klenard was much different then!

For Gerald, his life changed when he was seventeen and his youngest sibling was born, killing their mother. For Samuel, there was always rejection from his Klenard family because he was born. Two brothers, with different destinies and raised in different kingdoms, are supposed to love each other. What happened when they cannot?

You will probably see some familiar names in my pictures. In the early books, they are also mentioned in passing. Some of them are side characters in the first three books.

What will also be featured is the role Mother Church played before the Klenard-Tommel civil war. Nora explained in the first book, Casting Shadows, that it is the power that rules over them. King Gerald also had a bittersweet relationship with Mother Church, especially after the deaths of his wife and last legitimate son.

What excites me the most of the story of King Gerald and Lady Mary Heaving and the love triangle they formed with Lady Vera Lynn Howe. I won't get into many details yet, in case some of you have not read all the way through Casting Shadows and The Circle is Broken. But I will say, this will be an interesting twist, especially with her husband and only surviving legitimate daughter.

That's about all I have that's solid for now. I mean, there are other plans. I was thinking of running Char's story in The Circle is Broken or perhaps do Jerry's love story with Vera. But those have not been fully plotted out.

So many twists and turns...but not now.

Namaste. Have a great day!
